How to set up a cron job for Akeeba Backup?

Akeeba Backup is installed on my joomla website, and I want to set up a cron job to trigger Akeeba Backup's cron job script.

Our webcron service is fully integrated by Akeebabackup team with for triggering Akeeba Backup's cron job script.
Just follow below theses steps to configure cron job for your Akeeba Backup :

Enable front-end and remote backup on Akeeba Backup Configuration

and copy cron job URL:

Open your webcron dashboard

click on "" button.

Set up cron job for Akeeba Backup

In field "URL you want to execute...", paste the URL you copied.
e.g. http://www.example.com/index.php?option=com_akeeba&view=backup&key=yourkey
(replace www.example.com with your install location).
For Akeeba Backup, configure the TimeOut on 180 sec.
